In Adventure mode, players can explore the expansive world of Avalice, navigating a sprawling world map filled with treasures, landmarks, and over 100 unique animal NPCs to interact with and catalog. For those who prefer a more direct approach, Classic Mode becomes available after completing Adventure mode once, offering streamlined navigation for quick access to stages and other key features.

The Battlesphere arena provides an opportunity to test fighting skills with a variety of challenges featuring previously encountered enemies and bosses, along with new surprises. The game introduces a new Guard button for parrying enemy attacks, with an Auto Guard option available in the Assist settings for those who prefer automatic defense.

A new Revival system offers a chance to secure victory in close battles, though it comes at the cost of a stock and leaves players vulnerable to being knocked out again after two more hits. Players can also power up their heroines with customizable potions, mixing ingredients to boost vitality in various ways, such as increasing stock count, shield durability, attack power, and speed.

Additionally, players can alter the gameplay experience with a variety of equippable items. Amulets and Charms provide helpful effects, while Brave Stones increase combat difficulty in exchange for bonus crystals.
