Set in the year 2140, Earth 2140 throws you into a bleak future where only two superpowers remain: the United Civilized States (UCS), holding the American continent, Western Europe and North Africa, and the Eurasian Dynasty (ED), controlling Eastern Europe and Asia. After decades of wars and environmental catastrophe, most of humanity lives in newly built underground cities. Large parts of the globe - notably Australia and much of Africa - were rendered permanently uninhabitable by toxic biological and chemical weapons, wiped from maps and memory. With natural resources dwindling, above‑ground extraction has reignited conflict; a final, decisive war erupts to determine who will control the last reserves and ultimately rule the world.
