Earth vs Mars is a turn-based strategy game in which humanity fights back against a full-scale Martian invasion. For decades the aliens have been abducting people and animals, fusing them into bizarre hybrid lifeforms-and now they want Earth itself. Command a ragtag group of leaders as you battle high-tech saucers, grav-tanks and elite alien troops across a globe under siege.

The game’s signature mechanic is the Splice-O-Tron: a device that lets you merge human "volunteers" with Earth creatures to forge powerful hybrid units. Create squad types with wildly different roles and abilities-think fast, acid-spewing cheetah-fly aircraft, heavy-hitting human-rhino shock troops, or stealthy squirrel-cow forest infantry-and use them alongside conventional military forces.

Play through an over-30-mission single-player campaign with handcrafted scenarios and a steady stream of new creatures, upgrades and commander abilities. The enemy also evolves, throwing increasingly dangerous threats at you, from sentient organic weapons like "The Creep" to other Martian abominations.

Features include online 1v1 multiplayer (play as Earth or the Martians), a VS mode to fight the AI on custom maps, a Challenge mode for score-chasing, and a full Map Lab editor for creating your own maps and scenarios. Many units have unique active abilities, and several commanders offer distinct playstyles. The game presents a colorful 3D world with expressive units, strong visual effects and full voice acting.

Earth vs Mars is a smaller, experimental project from Relic Labs-designed to pay tribute to classic strategy games while trying fresh ideas and getting a focused, fast-paced experience into players’ hands.
