Lead your house across decades of Roman life, shaping laws, securing trade rights, forming alliances through marriage or contracts, and currying favor with emperors. Develop infrastructure-housing, temples, arenas-and establish trade routes across the Empire while watching markets and keeping the economy healthy. Your choices, strategic or short-sighted, will have long-lasting consequences.

Strengthen your rule with a system of active and passive modifiers: Family Bonuses, Research and Development, and Imperial Privileges. Research splits into two main branches, Technology and Philosophy, giving different paths for growth and advantage.

Danger comes from many directions: earthquakes, fires, famine, plague and political sabotage can all strike unexpectedly. Some adversaries fight with swords, others hide behind smiles-and all will test your leadership and resolve.

[spoiler=Steam Update Info 15.06.2026] Patch v1.008.0 is live! Hello everyone! I've just uploaded a small update (v1.008.0) focused on fixes and stability improvements. Changes Fixed fertility calculations for Crop Fields, Vegetable Farms, and Vineyards. Any field chunk placed outside fertile land will now correctly receive a 50% production penalty. Fixed several quest objectives in some localizations where Honey Wine was incorrectly displayed as Wine. Various small UI and hint improvements, including alignment fixes. Added additional logging around several systems to help track down rare crashes reported by two players. About the Plaza Update Unfortunately, the new plazas are not included in this update yet. They're mostly finished, but I haven't had enough time to test them properly. As soon as I'm confident they're working correctly, I'll release another update with the new plaza variations. I need to be very careful with new features, especially when they affect existing cities and save files. I'd rather spend a little extra time testing than risk breaking anyone's progress.
