ReGen is a complete remake of the original game, redesigned with hundreds of new features. In Hero Generations ReGen, each move equals one year of your hero's life, so players must think carefully about how they spend their time. Exploring the world for fame and fortune is essential, but finding a mate before it's too late is crucial. Players can find a mate, start a family, and have a child, then take control of that child in the same world. Choosing the right mate is key, as inheritable traits make your child more powerful and prepared.

The game features a procedurally generated world with towns, forests, ancient ruins, heroes, and more, spread across six unique biomes: Forest, Desert, Meadow, Island, Swamp, and Volcano. Players can choose from six strategic paths to achieve greatness: Strength, Love, Exploration, Wealth, Fame, or Building.

Hero Generations ReGen also includes a city crafting system, allowing players to construct any of 19 legacy-lasting buildings next to towns, providing future generations with useful resources, powerful abilities, and more attractive mates. Experimenting with different combinations can lead to the creation of unique town cultures, such as the Castle, Dark Cathedral, or Fortress.

The game offers a meaningful and thought-provoking experience, exploring themes of death, legacy, family, and love, all set in a beautifully hand-drawn fantasy world.
