Tankenstein v0.2.3 - early access

Tankenstein is an action game set in a harsh wasteland where you battle dangerous rogue AI tanks trying to wipe you out. You’ll need to use smart tactics, aim carefully, and learn enemy weak points to survive each fight. The game features detailed damage and projectile mechanics, so precision really matters.

As you win battles, you can collect scrap and parts from defeated enemies to build and upgrade your own custom tank. By combining different gear, you can create a powerful Franken-tank and improve your CPU as well, giving you an even better chance of surviving.

The world is procedurally generated, so every run takes you through different ruined biomes and challenging environments. You’ll also face tough boss fights that test both your build and your strategy.

Tankenstein can be downloaded and offers a mix of combat, scavenging, exploration, and deep customization in a dangerous post-apocalyptic setting.

[spoiler=Steam Update Info 21.05.2026] Update 0.2.5 As we continue work on the Wasteland update, we have come to somewhat of a halfway point and decided we wanted to make a minor update in the meantime. There has been a lot of feedback about how damage works, especially about turrets feeling counterintuitive as a weak point, and we agree, which is why we have given them some more damage resistance across the board. This should change how the combat feels quite a lot, and we're hoping it will allow for much more strategy and skill expression.
