A strange creature behind a desk forces you to play its wooden board game, where you take on the role of a captain hunting down a mysterious place called the Abyss. To reach it you’ll need to seize control of a continent, obtain an airship, and brave cursed skies - or more realistically, put together a crew and order them to do the dirty work.

Inkshade is a turn-based strategy game with roguelike rhythm: you’ll fail many times, and each run plays out differently. Success depends on careful planning, tactical choices, and persistence. Build and improve a roster of distinct pieces - your crew - and deploy them on the board. New unit types are unlocked by solving puzzles and exploring the shadowy rooms beyond the desk (try not to notice the stains on the carpet). During a run you can also add to your forces by recruiting defeated enemies, whether they join willingly or not.
