Luddite Build 16001268
Luddite is a turn-based campaign game that seamlessly integrates a graphic novel experience. Set in the sprawling metropolis of Yurushi, Earth's largest city, you step into the shoes of a young engineer recently laid off by the Niven Megacorporation. Forced to return to the Saitama Slums, a desolate area inhabited by the 'useless classes' rendered jobless by AI-powered automata, you are recruited by Red Ludd, the charismatic leader of a resistance group known as the Luddites. This group is determined to fight against the mass obsolescence caused by automation.
In Luddite, you and your team will leverage your engineering skills to hack and disable these automata, seeking revenge for being cast aside and offering hope to millions of workers facing unemployment. However, the mega corporations are ruthless, and those caught sabotaging their systems will face severe consequences.
The game follows the narrative of a custom-made graphic novel, featuring stunning artwork by Adam Beachey. Luddite can be played solo or in multiplayer mode, either cooperatively or competitively. The campaign is designed to be reset and replayed indefinitely, allowing an unlimited number of players to join. The gameplay combines classic roll-and-write mechanics with a unique push-your-luck system, challenging players to race against time to damage AI systems and escape before countermeasures activate.
