You play as Sir Mordred, the nemesis of King Arthur, who has been brought back to life by the Lady of the Lake to end a nightmare. Your mission is to find and kill King Arthur, who has become an undying mad king in Avalon, turning the mystical island into a nightmare version of Britannia.

In this game, you will manage a team of heroes, each with their own distinct personalities, goals, and rivalries. You can choose from six different classes: Defender, Champion, Marksman, Vanguard, Arcanist, and Sage. Level up your heroes, equip them with the best items, and send them on quests involving deep, tactical battles. However, be cautious, as heroes can die, and their injuries, curses, and diseases take time to heal.

The game also features a Morality Chart that represents your status between Christianity and Old Faith, and between Tyranny and Righteousness. Your choices will affect this chart, influencing both gameplay and narrative. With four different difficulty modes and a Roguelite Mode, every decision matters, impacting the story and gameplay in unexpected ways.

After completing the campaign, you unlock the endgame, which includes mythic boss fights, random quests, and more loot, ultimately leading to the banishing of Balor, the monstrous god-king of the Fomorians.
