Grim Realms is a game set in a dark and immersive world where players can explore diverse environments ranging from barren deserts to snow-covered mountains. In this game, you will recruit a variety of characters, including blacksmiths, brutal pirates, and noble intellectuals, each with unique portraits, backgrounds, and cultural origins. These characters will develop and age over time, acquiring different skills and abilities, such as becoming expert miners, great counselors, or master blacksmiths.

As their guide, you will manage their needs, set priorities, and equip them for war or work. Your characters will engage in various activities like eating, sleeping, socializing, creating art, and fighting. They may even abandon your faction if pushed too hard, potentially returning later as either friendly visitors or adversaries.

Defend your settlement from threats like undead hordes, bandits, raiding parties, and necromancers. Delve deep underground to mine for riches, discover ancient shrines, and harness powerful magic. You can practice necromancy to raise the dead and have them work for you, or harness the powers of light to banish the undead.

Craft a wide array of weapons, armor, and clothing from various materials. Engage in agriculture by planting crops and harvesting them for food and medicine. Hunt or tame animals for resources like milk and fur. Expand your knowledge through research, advancing from longbows to muskets and grenades.

Trade with visiting merchants, persuade them to join your settlement, or choose to plunder them. Create caravans to travel the world by land or sea, discovering new locations and establishing new settlements.

Inspired by games like Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress, and Terraria, Grim Realms focuses on managing your villagers and the growth of your settlement rather than tower defense. Originally known as 'Grim Nights 2', the game was renamed due to its distinct gameplay, setting it apart from its predecessor in the Grim Nights franchise.
