At its heart, RimWorld is a story generator. You choose one of three AI Storytellers-Randy Random for chaos, Cassandra Classic for steadily rising tension, or Phoebe Chillax for a more relaxed pace-and watch as "random" events shape your narrative. Your colonists aren’t trained adventurers but ordinary people with unique backgrounds, skills, addictions, wounds and relationships. Over time they develop friendships, romances, rivalries and heartbreak, leading to moments of triumph, tragedy and dark comedy.
