The Dark Heart of Balor is a dark fantasy hack-and-slash side-scroller in which you play as a hunter who has been taken over by a demon. The Archdemon Balor has torn open the gates of Hell and unleashed demons and monsters into the human world, leaving destruction in their wake. Your mission is to defend the survivors and, in the end, defeat Balor to seal the gate and save the world.

The journey takes you across the continent of Eridun, through grim crypts, cursed wilderness, and dangerous rifts in reality. Along the way, you’ll face deadly traps, ambushes, and puzzles, while battling a wide range of enemies that will push your combat abilities and magical powers to the limit.

The game features 3D side-scrolling hack-and-slash action, a moody dark fantasy setting, and each level offers its own visual style, characters, and gameplay challenges. You can unlock many different weapons and abilities, combining melee and magic in powerful ways. As you progress, you’ll also earn skill points to improve offensive, defensive, and magical capabilities.

It took three more years after Early Access, but we’ve finally made it — the game is officially out of Early Access and fully released! We revisited every level, added new locations, improved NPCs, refined gameplay systems, and polished the UI to make the experience more exciting and rewarding.
