Castle of Heart: Retold is the definitive, expanded edition of the original Castle of Heart-remade and refined with bigger scope, overhauled visuals, reworked gameplay and a rewritten story. Gameplay leans into tense, skill-based combat and precision platforming. You’ll face chorts, ghouls, vodniks and other fiends across four distinct Slavic landscapes, using a wide array of melee and ranged weapons-from torches and hatchets to javelins and crossbows. The remake focuses on tighter, more responsive controls, rebalanced combat and platforming systems, and a cleaner user interface so the challenge comes down to player skill and tactics. Boss battles are demanding and memorable, testing reflexes and strategy.

The Retold edition also significantly upgrades presentation: new animations and character models, improved lighting and environments, remixed music, and fully remade cutscenes. Every line of dialogue has been rewritten, and collecting Mokosh’s crystals unlocks reimagined endings that expand the game’s Slavic-folklore narrative.
