Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a classic hardcore dungeon-crawling RPG built for players who enjoy old-school challenge and deep party-based adventure. Originally created by the main staff behind the series in 2006, the game lets you explore different dungeon crawler scenarios on the same core system, offering a variety of adventures with plenty of content to experience.

You create your own character, as if in a traditional tabletop RPG, and lead a party of up to six members through grid-based dungeons. Battles are turn-based and combine the straightforward feel of JRPG combat with the harsh difficulty of classic tabletop-style RPGs. The game is unforgiving: characters can be lost permanently, and save data may be overwritten, so every choice matters.

The Steam version is a modernized edition made with the Unity engine. While the gameplay remains faithful to the original, the interface has been updated for a smoother experience on modern systems. It also includes widescreen and high-resolution support, improved 3D mazes and monsters, scenario selection inside the game, gamepad support, Steam Cloud, and custom portrait support.
