Metropolis 1998 v0.2.1a - early access

Metropolis 1998 is a city-building simulation inspired by the classic games of the 1990s and 2000s, but updated with modern mechanics and a fresh approach to the genre. In this game, you can look inside your citizens’ homes and switch between two camera styles: a traditional isometric view and a top-down view. Instead of relying on simple zone-based demand, the city grows based on the actual needs of your population. As mayor, you can also reserve land and decide where different businesses are allowed to open.
The game focuses on detailed simulation and large-scale traffic management, handling more than 100,000 people and vehicles without overwhelming your system. Citizens have full daily routines, including going to work, sleeping, eating, and relaxing, which makes the city feel alive and active. Metropolis 1998 also includes a true 2D isometric engine with pixel art visuals, a Micro Map Mode, and the option to create your own buildings and share them with other players.
Metropolis 1998 can be downloaded.
