Oblivion Override is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland dominated by AI, where the remnants of humanity are trapped in the digital confines of the 'Oblivion Code'. Players take on the role of Crimson, a rogue combat bot, who ventures into the neon-lit corridors of Dulce Base to uncover the secrets of this dystopian AI civilization.

The game features intense combat mechanics, allowing players to master dodges, double jumps, and wall runs to navigate the expansive underground network. Players can equip their robot with over 26 specialized weapons, each offering unique mechanics, combat choreography, and enhanced skill effects.

Throughout the game, players can unlock six advanced combat machines, each with unique abilities, ranging from a ninja and thunder geek to a viking warrior and feline assassin. These abilities, known as Atomic Evolution, can be accessed at any point during a run.

Players will explore various environments, including an abandoned arms factory, a bio-engineered greenhouse, and a data center, ultimately leading to the mysterious temple of an ancient-tech civilization. The game also challenges players to increase the Alert Level from Level I to Level VIII, resulting in more challenging battles against enemies and bosses equipped with advanced gear.
