Combat is demanding and rewarding: you’re not born a hero, you learn to fight. Manage stamina, time your attacks and parries, and switch between three distinct stances to find what fits your playstyle. A range of weapon types and active skills lets you build anything from a nimble rapier fighter to a heavily armoured brawler, or create a hybrid approach. Two major factions offer separate campaign paths, each with exclusive quests and rewards that change how you experience the world.

Exploration and player choice matter-there are no guiding markers, so paying attention to NPC dialogue, notes and books is key to uncovering secrets and objectives. Meet locals, take on tasks, and watch reputations shift as Tristan evolves. You can also learn professions like fishing, hunting, alchemy and blacksmithing (including crafting a unique sword), giving plenty of activities beyond combat.
