Mars Base is a colony-building and agricultural simulation set on Mars’s Erebus Montes plateau in the Amazonis Planitia. You arrive as the expedition’s chief botanist with one simple yet monumental task: turn lifeless, toxic Martian soil into fertile farmland capable of feeding a growing human settlement. With no hope of resupply from Earth, every seed you sow and every nutrient you balance will determine the survival of your fellow colonists-and the future of human civilization on the Red Planet.

Key Features and Gameplay
- A Living, Evolving Colony - Upon landing you’ll have access to a web of interconnected facilities: solar farms, research labs, crafting workshops and climate-controlled greenhouses. Each structure can be upgraded or reconfigured as you expand from a remote outpost into humanity’s first extraterrestrial city.
- Deep Colonist Interactions - Every colonist has a story, a speciality and unique needs. Forge relationships, assign roles, solve personal problems and watch the base grow more efficient and more human with every new arrival (they come every two Earth years!).
- True Agricultural Challenge - Martian regolith is sterile and sometimes toxic. Starting from raw resources delivered daily by your teammates, you’ll research soil treatments, engineer modular planter arrays, mix custom fertilizers and deploy autonomous robots to automate planting and harvesting. A balanced diet is critical-micronutrient deficiencies can be as deadly as dust storms.
- Planetary Exploration & Resource Gathering - Venture beyond the greenhouse domes into wind-swept plains, towering mountains and mysterious underground caverns. Brave sandstorms to collect rare minerals, craft specialized tools and unlock new sciences that feed back into your agricultural and survival tech trees.
- Crafting, Cooking and Customization - Turn salvaged ores and biomaterials into advanced implements, build rockets to probe deeper into Mars’s secrets or don your chef’s hat and whip up gourmet meals from fresh produce. Customize your own living quarters at the end of each workday-on Mars, rest may be optional, but comfort helps you tackle tomorrow’s challenges.
