Sips and Sonnets is a gentle, story-driven visual novel that puts you in the shoes of Ms. Meadows, a retired journalist who now runs a small tea shop in a quiet English town. With few regulars and no close family, she spends her days listening to the people who stop by and each night-after her nurse brings her medication-turns those encounters into a new poem.

Play as a kindly older woman whose warmth and compassion shape every interaction. Brew a variety of teas, learn about different blends as you go, and chat with customers from many walks of life. The conversations and moments you collect during the day feed into your nightly writing, and the choices you make steer the story toward different outcomes-there are multiple endings to discover.

Expect about 2-4 hours of gameplay featuring full voice acting (including talent from Baldur’s Gate 3 and Disco Elysium), several small minigames, and an original soundtrack. The game was inspired by visits to local tea shops across the UK and by the wise, generous people who influence our lives. It was developed by Blue Tango Street, the studio behind Backspace Backspace Backspace, with contributions from a number of artists.
