Side Effects throws you into a twisted medical trial where two test subjects face off in a deadly game of pill roulette. Each turn, you must choose from a handful of unidentified pills-some will boost your stats, some will cripple you, and one could kill you outright. Your goal is simple yet brutal: outlast your opponent.
The core loop revolves around managing your resistance. Every pill you swallow chips away at your ability to endure; reach zero and it’s game over. Between rounds, you can spend your hard-earned resources on experimental items-everything from vaccines that shore up your defenses to more extreme treatments like mouth clamps. These choices can tip the odds in your favor or backfire in spectacular fashion.
Your rival isn’t just a passive target. They’ll bluff, adapt, and exploit every tool at their disposal to stay alive. Will you outsmart them or become collateral damage?
