Airmen is an immersive first-person game where you create and customize your own vessels—from airships and landships to watercraft—using an extensive collection of over 300 parts. Starting from an empty hangar, you gradually build your ship piece by piece, outfitting it with various equipment to suit your style, whether that involves agile maneuverability or heavy combat.

In the game, you can choose to pilot your ship alone or team up with friends to tackle challenging expeditions throughout a vast, open Archipelago world. As you explore, you’ll gather valuable resources like wood, aetherium, and magnesite to upgrade and refine your creation. There are many ways to acquire these resources: mine them, or embark on daring raids against the cargo holds of rival players or AI-controlled air forts.

Airmen offers an incredibly detailed combat experience where you’re in complete control: man the turrets, steer your ship, repair damage on the fly, or even engage in intense boarding actions with a variety of melee and ranged weapons. Every ship component plays a crucial role in battles, meaning that strategic targeting can disable enemy vessels by taking out vital systems like engines or weaponry.

Beyond customization and combat, the game encourages exploration and strategic play. Venture across islands to complete contracts, build reputations with multiple factions, and compete in various activities—from running delivery missions and resource harvesting to hunting down formidable world bosses. Whether you create a nimble cargo hauler, a versatile skirmisher, or a colossal combat juggernaut, Airmen provides deep and rewarding gameplay that blends creativity, teamwork, and high-stakes battles.

Additionally, the game supports cooperative building, allowing you and your friends to design ships together. With robust mod support via the Steam Workshop, you can also share your creations and experiment with those made by other players, making each playthrough a unique adventure.
