Relic Space is a turn-based roguelike RPG blended with 4X strategy elements, set in a galaxy recovering from a vast cataclysm. At its core, the game offers tactical combat on a hex grid, where each move is crucial. The combat system is deeply simulated—with individual ship modules like weapons, engines, and utilities suffering damage in realistic ways. Fires, power leaks, and other status effects can arise, and you’ll need to carefully manage resources such as heat, energy, and fuel to keep your ship operational.

Exploration in Relic Space is non-linear and immersive. You have the freedom to traverse a procedurally generated solar system that still features crafted details. As you navigate more than 40 unique sectors, your actions not only shape your journey but also influence the dynamic activities of several major and minor factions competing in research, trade, and construction across the galaxy.

Character and ship development are highly flexible. As your reputation grows, you can access more advanced vessels and customize them with a vast range of weapons and tools. A versatile skill tree enables you to unlock new piloting abilities, and through research into ancient relics, you can gain additional powers and upgrades.

The game’s setting is enriched by a layered narrative that weaves through a richly detailed hard science-fiction backdrop. The realistic space movement mechanics further deepen the experience: while moving in a straight line is effortless, turning or altering your trajectory requires careful energy management, mirroring real-life physics.

Set in the year 2612, in the aftermath of the catastrophic Fall, Relic Space challenges you to navigate a universe in ruin and combat an emerging threat to the very existence of your Order—a once elite military group now driven by a mission to reclaim lost knowledge and restore civilization.
