Slashers Keep is a first-person roguelite game that emphasizes melee combat and loot collection. You find yourself imprisoned in the depths of Slasher's Keep, a daunting fortress that looms over the forgotten forest in the remote wilderness of Ool. This keep has long served as the final destination for the nation's most unwanted individuals. Many have attempted to escape its treacherous dungeons, only to fail. Will you meet the same fate, or will you conquer the challenges that lie ahead?

The game features randomly generated levels, offering a fresh experience with each playthrough. You'll encounter various traps to trigger and secrets to uncover. The items you find are also randomly generated, providing different stats and abilities to enhance your character. The dynamic melee combat system allows for different swings and thrusts, as well as precise parrying. You can even use your inventory sack to knock enemies into spikes and chasms.

You'll face a variety of enemies, each with unique abilities, and have access to different types of magic wands for some ranged combat. Choose from two playable characters, with more to unlock as you progress. The game also includes a drag-and-drop crafting system, allowing you to create new items and gear. The visuals are presented in a cartoon style, featuring cel-shaded models and hand-drawn sprites. After each death, you'll start in a new dungeon, growing stronger with every run.
