BioMenace Remastered is a modern revival of the classic 2D run-and-gun platformer originally released in 1993. Players take on the role of Snake Logan, a CIA operative sent into the chaos of Metro City after a devastating monster outbreak. When his mission goes wrong and his plane is forced down, Snake must fight through the ruined city, rescue survivors, uncover the cause of the disaster, and stop the mysterious Dr. Mangle.

The remastered edition includes the original three episodes with more than 36 levels, along with a completely new fourth episode, bringing even more content and danger to the adventure. You’ll travel through varied locations such as cities, forests, underground caverns, and hidden high-tech facilities, while facing hostile enemies, traps, secret areas, and powerful bosses. Along the way, you can collect score items, find secret levels, use grenades and special weapons, and aim for achievements, high scores, and fast completion times.

BioMenace Remastered also adds a wide range of improvements, including enhanced graphics, widescreen support, smoother gameplay at 60 FPS or higher, updated HUD and UI, better collision detection, mid-level saves, quick saving, controller support, and full Steam Deck support. You can switch between the original and remastered visuals at any time, and the game also includes leaderboards, an online user level browser, and a built-in editor for creating and sharing your own levels.

Episode 4, titled Menace from Above, introduces new environments, fresh music, new artwork, additional gameplay mechanics, new NPCs, secret levels, and two brand-new boss battles. The remastered version keeps the spirit of the original alive while expanding it with new ideas and modern features.
