Star Fleet Deluxe is a strategic space warfare simulation that puts you in command of a powerful United Galactic Alliance heavy cruiser. Your mission is to defend UGA colonies and starbases from the invading Krellan Empire, supported by their Zaldron allies, and push them back before time runs out.

The game takes place during Galactic War II, when the Krellans launch a large-scale assault across a 100-quadrant sector map. As captain, you must move carefully through hostile space, manage your ship’s systems and resources, and decide when to fight, retreat, resupply, or hold position. Battles are turn-based and can involve Krellan destroyers, battlecruisers, and supply ships, with long-range sensors constantly reporting enemy activity. You can also dock at UGA starbases, orbit planets for protection, and use outposts and minefields to strengthen your defense.

Star Fleet Deluxe builds on the earlier Star Fleet games with faster combat, improved shields, a redesigned mouse-driven interface, and more strategic depth. Your cruiser is equipped with phasers, torpedoes, a tractor beam, and a crew of 500, including space marines who can board enemy ships or help establish outposts. The game also features progressive ranks, medals and commendations, and a detailed set of manuals for both beginners and experienced players.

This is a deep, old-school military space strategy game focused on planning, resource management, exploration, and tactical combat. Star Fleet Deluxe can be downloaded, and it offers a challenging experience for players who enjoy commanding a ship in a large-scale interstellar war.

[spoiler=Steam Update Info 04.03.2026] Patch 2 SFD has a problem with playing the game after a promotion. This patch temporarily reverts to an old version that does not have this problem. However, it does not have the new introduction and may have some sizing issues. If when started it shows a person holding a tablet, but nothing happens other than a background beat, press to go to the game. As soon as we have fixed the playing and resolution problems, we will post the new patch.
