Bastide v0.8.05a

Bastide is an Early Access alpha city‑building strategy game set in the 13th century and powered by Unreal Engine 5. It takes advantage of next‑generation technologies such as Nanite, Lumen Virtual Shadow Maps and Temporal Super Resolution to bring your medieval village to life. Every map is procedurally generated, ensuring a unique challenge each time you play, and planned updates will add mod support, deeper exploration and trading with neighbouring settlements.

As village head, you must guide a small band of peasants through changing seasons and a realistic day‑and‑night cycle, keeping them alive against bandit raids, famine, disease and harsh winters. Start with bare ground and build farms, workshops and homes. Assign villagers to a variety of jobs—woodcutters, hunters, herders, weavers and more—to gather food, resources and materials. Efficient workforce management is critical to steady growth, as any mistake can threaten your community’s survival.

Hunt wild game or establish pastures for sheep and cattle, then process meat, wool and hides into food, clothing and tools. Choose from multiple difficulty levels or turn off enemy attacks altogether if you prefer a more relaxed pace. With future patches and features tracked on the developer’s roadmap, Bastide promises ongoing improvements and ever‑greater depth for fans of medieval village simulation.
