Aeruta is a charming adventure about a world where bread is slowly being forgotten. The story begins when Chaya, the main character, is forced to stay in a worn-down town and ends up accidentally causing an explosion while trying to help the bakery owner, Effie. From that moment, she sets out to rebuild the bakery and bring back the delicious scent of bread to a place that has nearly lost it.

The game combines exploration, action, and shop management. Players travel through different areas to gather materials, using a variety of weapons and unique skill trees to fight enemies and carve a path forward. Each region has its own style, challenges, and dangerous local creatures, while rare ingredients can be collected for baking.

Back at the bakery, players can sell bread to customers, arrange the display shelves for better results, and keep up with demand. Managing the shop well matters, since customers may leave if they are ignored and a messy floor can cost money.
