Star Leaping Story is a 2D side‑scrolling platformer action game that tests your reflexes and precision with a distinctive dash system. The game embraces a non‑punitive design: repeated deaths and rebirths are treated as chances to learn and improve, so every failure becomes an opportunity to grow and push past your limits.
Story
A young girl wakes up in a mysterious laboratory and sets out with her former companions to unravel the truth behind her past. Along the way she meets strange extraterrestrial beings, faces perilous obstacles, and struggles to recover lost memories. Your goal is to guide her and the team through crises, uncover the planet’s secrets, and ultimately escape this celestial body.
Gameplay
The core mechanic is a timing‑based dash: when jumping upward or falling, press the spacebar at the right moment to merge with your golden ball companion and hover briefly. While hovering you can chain directional dashes (↑ ↓ ← →) in succession - up to five dashes before landing. Landing ends the dash sequence and refreshes your dash count. Fast timing, precise inputs, and creative use of the dash are essential to overcome the game’s surprising and demanding obstacles.
