Hold Your Own is a survival game set on a small archipelago where insurgents have taken over, forcing the local population to flee or hide. As part of a resistance group, players must engage in a challenging battle to reclaim the land and make it safe for citizens to return. The game presents a dynamic environment where insurgents grow stronger and more persistent as players regroup and strategize.

In Hold Your Own, players find themselves stranded on an island with minimal resources, facing the elements and hostile forces. The game offers a linear quest line in single-player mode, with plans for side quests, repeatable quests, and spontaneous events. Players can choose to follow the quest line or explore the sandbox mode, with or without tutorials.

The game is designed to challenge players with evolving AI complexity, requiring them to manage territory and resources. Players earn experience, levels, and skill points, allowing for specialization in various areas. Multiplayer is currently on hold due to technical issues.
