Granvir is an action roguelite where you build and customize giant mechs and fight your way through a branching campaign to reach extraction. You choose your route, take optional side objectives that cost precious resources, and balance risk and reward as you move toward each goal.
Combat blends brutal melee (swords, rocket spears, pile bunkers) with heavy ranged weapons (cannons, machine guns, flamethrowers, rocket pods), letting you mix-and-match loadouts to suit your playstyle. Between fights you scavenge upgrades on the battlefield, swap torsos, legs, arms and special modules, and unlock unique parts by defeating enemy ace pilots. Outside combat you manage your campaign economy-borrow money for ammo, help locals for battlefield support, and use rest areas and a squad depot to share parts and plan ahead.
No two runs are the same: zone choices affect available services and supplies, and time, resources and route decisions shape each playthrough. Play solo or in cooperative multiplayer with up to 10 Granvir pilots working together.
Granvir can be downloaded for players who want to try it.
Update 2.30.0: New Beam Weapons
This week's update slips in a handful of new parts including a new beam sword, beam rifle, mounted cannon and torso. The new rifle uses an extremely wide beam capable of catching multiple targets and washing over them to deal damage in a line. The new beam sword is only active while swinging and comes with a high heat cost but has an extremely long reach. The new mounted cannon rounds out the Galewind cannon line and has a new boosted firing mode that increases fire rate by 30% at the cost of heat build up. The torso simply fills a gap in tier 2 of a melee resistant torso with back slots. If you've made it this far, you can look forward to a weirder update next week. While there is still a lot of work to be done on campaign 4, I will be looking to release a preview version of the campaign featuring its core mechanics. The preview campaign will end before reaching the finale but will be a good opportunity to provide feedback and shape the development of the campaign's new systems.2.30.0Major FeaturesAdded the ZZ01 Solar Flare, a tier 4 one handed beam sword with massive range but extreme heat usage.Added the JA01 Vagrant, a tier 4 beam rifle with dual wide penetrating beams.Minor FeaturesAdded the BT04 Galewind, a tier 4 side mounted cannon with rapid continuous fire and the ability to boost its firerate at the cost of heat.Added the CS01 Jacket torso, a tier 2 torso with melee damage reduction and a double back port variant.Added part enhancements for beam weapons.
