The depths are filled with other intelligent species, monsters and remnants of long-lost civilizations, and town residents venture down to gather rare materials needed for alchemy. With little money to her name, Sheryl must descend into the Abyss herself, gathering ingredients, meeting new people, and gradually uncovering a hidden conspiracy that pulls her deeper into danger.

The game mixes quiet, everyday moments with escalating drama: you’ll build friendships, help the community, and try to make Altona a brighter place while untangling the web of deceit beneath it. Crafting is central-discovering recipes and synthesizing equipment is often the key to completing quests more than simply winning fights. By gaining the trust of the different inhabitants on each layer and increasing her renown, Sheryl can unlock better recipes and more advanced alchemy.

Combat is real-time and played from a top-down view. Sheryl fights with a staff, bow and magic, learning new abilities as the story progresses so you can develop a preferred playstyle-whether focused on spellcasting or close-quarters combat. Encounters reward careful play: dodging powerful attacks is crucial, since being caught off-guard can be deadly.
