In Warstone TD you take on that role: build a city, train an army, equip your subjects and recruit powerful allies such as dwarves, amazons and sorceresses. Gameplay
Warstone TD departs from conventional tower defense by using stones as summoning points. Levels start with only a few stones; as the battle goes on more stones appear and some even drop from enemies, letting you place defenders anywhere valid on the map. Powerful Warstones occasionally appear that grant bonuses to defenders standing on them. Basic defenders you can summon include Peasant, Archer, Rifleman, Sorceress and Elemental, each with its own upgrade path, damage type, cost and special abilities. Two extra base units (Eagle and Wolf) are available in attack/defense missions and PvP, each with branching upgrades that add tactical depth.

Content and progression
The game includes 30 story missions, and each mission can be played in three modes: Campaign, Challenge and Survival. Players choose difficulty from Easy, Normal, Hard and Nightmare; completing modes awards achievement stars (bronze for Normal, silver for Hard, gold for Nightmare). With many defender combinations, class choices and spell selections, levels often have multiple viable solutions - mastering them takes careful strategy. An online leaderboard tracks scores in campaign and PvP so you can compete with friends and rivals.

Class system
After the first few campaign missions you can specialize into a class to augment your battlefield capabilities. Classes are non-linear so you can mix skills, but specializing grants access to the most powerful options.
- Warlord: Boosts the effectiveness of your army, improves defender power and grants stone-based abilities to hinder enemies or provide mana and gold. The Warlord can also enable defenders to level up during battle.
- Treasurer: Focused on gold and items - carries a large inventory, finds more scrolls and potions, increases bounties and reduces defender cost. The Treasurer can field a larger army and gain unique economic spells like transmuting enemies into gold.
- Sorcerer: A spell-focused class that can clear levels primarily with magic. The Sorcerer can bring more spells into battle, buff spell effectiveness, regenerate mana and unlock powerful effects such as Summon Elemental, Reduction, Meteor Shower and Teleportation for defenders.
