Novus Orbis is a roguelike deckbuilder that rewards careful planning and inventive combos. Key features:
- Combo system: Each card has a cost and a combo value - the order you play cards matters. Follow the right sequence to unlock stronger effects, or deliberately break combos to trigger different outcomes.
- Countdown system: Playing cards and ending your turn advances enemy timers. Enemies can get close enough to strike during your turn, so timing is crucial.
- Multiple classes: Three distinct classes, each with unique cards and mechanics.
- Deep deckbuilding: Over 100 cards per class across six types - Attack, Skill, Equipment, Item, Special, and Affliction - giving lots of customization options.
- Blessings: Powerful character upgrades found from bosses, special rooms, shops, and secret interactions.
- Pets: Find companions during runs that act every turn to attack, support, heal, and more.
