On top of that, the Ink Demon haunts the halls, forcing stealth and smart use of hiding spots when you hear the ominous beat of his ink heart. That cat-and-mouse tension keeps runs heart-pounding.

Mechanically, the game mixes melee attacks, traps, and limited supplies into a satisfying survival formula. The procedurally generated layout and escalating difficulty give each run a fresh set of decisions, and learning how to use the environment and your tools is rewarding.
