Fall of Rome is a turn-based 4X strategy game that blends fast-paced tactical encounters with grand strategy - conquer provinces, grow your dominion, and shape history as Rome unravels.

Take command of one of eight playable factions, each with unique units, buildings, strengths and weaknesses. Play through individual campaigns for every faction, pursuing long-term objectives across multiple missions, or jump into multiplayer matches and seasons to test your skill against other players. Advance your society through policy choices - will you embrace Roman culture or preserve traditional ways? Every decision echoes through the campaign and the map.

Matches focus on tactics and decisive choices rather than long grind: explore, expand, exploit and exterminate in a condensed 4X experience where gameplay is designed to be engaging without taking all day. Fulfill objectives to earn Crowns - the first player to reach the target number of Crowns wins. Custom games let you tailor the experience (adjust win conditions, Roman presence, map size, and even choose classic borders or cylindrical wrapping). Short on time? Play by cloud and give each player up to 24 hours per turn.
