Combat in NITRO GEN OMEGA is a turn-based tactical RPG experience built around a unique Timeline system that feels like you’re directing your own anime episode. During the Planning Phase you assign actions-your Driver maneuvering the Mech, the Gunner lining up shots, the Engineer managing heat and repairs, and the Operator deploying smoke or other support tools. Once orders are set, the Resolution Phase plays out in cinematic fashion, with every bullet, dodge, and emergency coolant burst unfolding in real time.

By earning Activity Points in combat, you can send them to cook meals that grant combat buffs, hit the boxing ring to level up strength, read magazines for skill boosts, or dispatch scavenging parties to collect rare gear. Over time, friendships and rivalries emerge, shaping how your team behaves when the action heats up.

Beyond individual missions, you’ll chart a course across an expansive open-world continent. Drop into cities and outposts to pick up contracts, buy supplies, hire procedurally generated pilots (each with unique looks, traits and personal goals), and refuel your Airship. Machine lairs, random events and resource nodes dot the landscape, offering constant challenges and rewards.
