The game follows Sachi, who lives in the only fertile area left in a world otherwise covered in icy wastelands. Her community thrives due to their worship of the Sun Tree, which provides light in place of the failed sun. However, after sacrificing her firstborn to the Sun Tree, Sachi uncovers a sinister secret beneath the facade of priestly benevolence. The game challenges players to discover the truth hidden in a mysterious underworld, all while avoiding the deadly smoke that threatens life and memory.

As Sachi faces overwhelming odds, strange creatures, and the ever-present danger of the smoke, players must help her uncover the fate of her son and the truth behind the Sun Tree.
