Insect Swarm is a top-down aerial shooter that drops you into a vast, borderless world teeming with hostile insects. You’ll pilot a customizable airframe, gathering resources across the open map to enhance both your ship and weapons. At any time you can shift into Mecha mode—trading your craft’s agility for a close-quarters weapon with extended reach plus a high-rate Gatling gun.

Movement is handled with the keyboard while your mouse takes care of firing and melee attacks. You carry one primary and one secondary armament, and there’s no cap on how far you can push your upgrades—keep collecting materials and leveling up indefinitely.

Story
You’re stranded on a desert planet that was once the focus of human mining operations, drawn by the discovery of potent, energy-rich crystals. When those crystals—revealed to be the solidified blood of colossal “Blood Insects”—were disturbed, the underground horde erupted in a brutal retaliation. Every mining base was overrun, and you barely escaped with your life. Now you must survive waves of alien attackers, find a way off the planet, and if necessary, unleash enough firepower to wipe out the menace once and for all.
