Depraved is a sandbox-style settlement simulator set in a harsh, procedurally generated Wild West. As the leader of a small band of pioneers, you arrive with only a single supply carriage and must choose the best spot for your first town. From there, you harvest timber and stone, hunt or trade for food, and gradually build homes, workshops, farms and defenses. The happier your settlers, the faster your settlement grows.

Every resident has needs: hunger, thirst, warmth and social comfort. You must secure a steady supply of food and clean water, provide clothing and firewood against cold, and offer preferred foods for different social groups. Failing to meet these needs drives people into crime, rebellion or simply causes them to leave.

Nature itself poses constant challenges. Scorching deserts demand careful water management, while snowy highlands force you to stockpile wood and heat homes. Violent storms can damage buildings and spoil food stores. Illnesses spread rapidly if you neglect sanitation or medical facilities.

Wildlife can be both a resource and a threat. Deer and bison supply meat and hides—while wolves and bears lurk beyond your walls, ready to maul unwary hunters or raid your herds. Bandits and marauding gangs patrol the frontier roads, looting your farms and attacking your people unless you build walls, towers and armed patrols.

Native American tribes inhabit much of the territory. You can choose diplomacy—trading furs, firearms and valuables to win their friendship—or resort to force, raiding their camps and seizing land. Each choice carries long‑term consequences for your town’s security and reputation.

Depraved challenges you to balance growth with survival in a living, breathing frontier world. Will you build a peaceful, thriving community or a ruthless empire carved from the wilderness? The choice—and the dangers—are all yours.
