DinoSystem v0.78 - early access

DinoSystem is a 2D, top-down simulation game that blends ecosystem management with survival gameplay. In one mode, you step into the role of nature’s force, guiding an island’s evolving ecology populated by dinosaurs. You can manipulate weather, trigger natural events, and watch as every living creature, from plants to prehistoric beasts, follows realistic biological and physical rules—everything is born, grows, reproduces, and eventually decays.

In an alternative mode, you experience life as a stranded human trying to survive on this dynamic island. Your survival is influenced by a detailed character progression system where your metabolism, body shape, and skills evolve based on your actions. Unlike traditional games with simple hunger and thirst bars, your needs change according to activity, environmental conditions, and physical changes. This means that staying alive involves balancing nutrition, energy expenditure, and resource management.
The world of DinoSystem is richly detailed. Weather is not just background scenery—it dynamically shifts based on time of day, season, and atmospheric conditions, bringing rain, snow, thunderstorms, and even wildfires into play. Terrain evolves too; forested areas might turn to arid lands if conditions change, and water cycles create ponds or lakes that gradually transform the landscape. Even the remnants of life, such as dead animals or fallen branches, decompose following real-world principles without an arbitrary disappearance timer.
With separate modes for controlling the environment like a deity or facing the harsh realities of survival, DinoSystem challenges you to either protect unique species or exploit them as resources. Every decision impacts the delicate balance of life on the island, making your choices as significant as they are unpredictable. As development continues, many more features are expected to enhance the gameplay experience, inviting players to contribute ideas and shape the future of this evolving world.
