Born from Japanese horror, noise/breakcore electronica, punk, and even The Beatles, Liminal Void is an esoteric, hostile love letter to the joy of not knowing everything. ★ The game was built from the ground up to challenge conventional comfort and spoon-fed mechanics - it will intimidate you, but it will love you more than any other game ever could. ≈

Core loop: traverse layers via portals or by dying (yes, dying advances you, but costs sigil-gathering opportunities). Collect Sigils - the currency for spells and safe portals. Manage your Death Counter and prevent liminal entities from touching you. Snatch souls from dangerous entities to fuel spells and add precious time to your death counter so you can explore for more sigils. ☢️➤

Cast spells to destroy or soul-snatch enemies; more powerful magic costs more sigils. Fight toward Layer 444 and face the Void Gods - massive, high-health bosses that will test your sigil stockpile and patience. Two ways: keep dying into Layer 444 empty-handed and be decimated, or fight, collect, and spam spells until the gods fall. ⚔️🔥
