Set in 2087, the game juggles three compelling leads - Charlie Regis (blackmailed cop), Latha Sesame (agoraphobic Trance addict forced into meatspace), and Max Lao (techy enforcer torn between duty and friendship) - whose intersecting stories peel back a conspiracy around genetic engineering, an omnipresent AI called Central, and the ever-watchful CEL police. The writing is the star: smart, often darkly funny, and packed with noir dialogue and moral gray areas; puzzles and exploration are satisfying without ever overstaying their welcome. Tonally it sits between classic adventure charm and modern dystopia - expect sharp twists, ethical dilemmas, and moments that hit like a Black Mirror episode.
