Tales & Tactics is a unique blend of roguelike strategy and squad-based autobattling designed for a deep single-player adventure. In this game, you take your time to explore detailed mechanics and build your tactics against no time pressure, allowing you to plan your moves carefully before every battle.
Your journey begins in The Grand Tournament, a challenging annual event where you strive for victory across three immersive acts filled with rival characters and formidable bosses. Along the way, you'll assemble a diverse team drawn from a wide range of fighters, including mystical beings like Fae, Dragons, and Treefolk, as well as undead and tribal warriors such as Skeletons, Ghouls, and Orcs. Each unit, from hardy Tanks to skillful Mages and resourceful Engineers, comes with unique abilities that can be combined in strategic synergies to turn the battle in your favor.
Beyond building your team, you'll also collect powerful Equipment, expand your Army Size, unlock new tiers of units, and earn Level-Up Perks tailored to enhance your strategy. Every playthrough offers different rewards, ensuring that no two runs provide the exact same experience, while an unlock system lets you gradually introduce new game elements at your own pace.
After conquering the Grand Tournament, you can continue to test your skills by taking on the Challenge Climb, which not only intensifies the difficulty but also introduces fresh mechanics. Additionally, the game features Asynchronous PvP battles, where you can challenge players worldwide, showcasing your perfect blend of tactics and strategy.
