In this experience, you are given complete freedom to explore a huge, diverse landscape. Gather resources by mining ores, hunt wild boars and deer for food while staying cautious of dangerous bears and wolves, and build or blow up structures to fend off relentless enemies. It’s not just about survival—the game challenges you to defend against foes by constructing intricate defenses, including traps, and even driving an old ATV through enemy lines.

As you explore, uncover clues tied to the mysterious legend of the “Witnesses of the Second Coming.” This quest for answers will push you to develop your combat and survival skills using a special panel of cards, allowing you to customize your abilities and strategies. Along the way, you’ll collect essential parts and blueprints needed to create innovative devices like the “mini-mole hole” that could prove critical in halting the alien incursion.

One of the most ambitious aspects of When They Arrived is the promise of interplanetary exploration. Although Mars has not yet been introduced in the current version of the game, the developers are hard at work creating realistic conditions and immersive gameplay for the red planet.
