This isn't a pretty space movie - it's a gritty, high-stakes ship sim with rogue-ish permadeath. You micromanage your crew, reroute power across weapons, shields, and engines, and pick targets while chaos unfolds in real time - and you can pause to shout orders and reconfigure your ship mid-fight. Every skirmish is a puzzle: do you burn reactor juice to outrun a missile spam, pump weapons to blow their guts out, or toss your crew in for a boarding raid?

There are six alien races and a pile of weird tech to unlock, hundreds of text-driven encounters that force ugly, meaningful choices, and a procedurally generated galaxy so no two runs feel the same. Death is permanent, so every decision matters. If you like tense tactical jams, brutal luck, and crafting stories out of failures, FTL is your kind of space nightmare.
