SCUM is an immersive and hyper-realistic survival game that offers players complete control over their progression. Set on the super-max SCUM island, you begin as a prisoner under the watchful eye of the sinister TEC1 corporation. The island is a vast and dangerous place, filled with rolling fields, lush forests, and rugged terrains. Your survival depends on your skills, guts, and cunning as you explore, loot, craft, and customize your way to dominance—or face inevitable death.

The game features an incredibly complex simulation where every detail matters. You must maintain the right diet and keep your wounds free of infection, as physical threats are not the only dangers you face. Players can choose to take out others or join forces, looting and crafting to acquire better gear and weaponry. The extensive base-building options allow you to flex your creative muscles and make your fortress impenetrable.

SCUM's massive landscape spans 225 square kilometers, including dense forests, picturesque beaches, serene fields, abandoned towns, and rundown airfields. You can traverse this enormous terrain by foot, land vehicles, boats, or aircraft, with each location presenting new dangers and opportunities.

Progression in SCUM is tough. You must loot what you can, craft with raw materials, and adapt to survive. The game challenges you to think smart, take risks, and carry only what you need. The omnipresent threat includes fellow prisoners, armed mechs, undead puppets, and even your own metabolic system. If your rivals don't get you, dehydration might.

SCUM also offers an online multiplayer experience, allowing you to go solo or team up with others. You can survive with up to 64 players per server, with the option to rent your own server.

Built with Unreal Engine 4, SCUM is expanding throughout its Early Access period. Fans can follow the game's development with weekly updates. The Early Access roadmap includes plans for missions, side quests, advanced combat systems, and more, with features subject to change based on community feedback and development realities.
