The story follows Richard, a typical college dropout with limited financial resources, who finds himself in a peculiar situation after landing a job at Souverain Industries VLLC. Unfortunately for Richard, the company seems to hire anyone with a soul, and he quickly becomes trapped in a monotonous office job by day and a demonic hellscape by night. Bound by a magical contract, Richard is forced to work even in his sleep, making his job a literal nightmare.
However, the dreamscape offers Richard a glimmer of hope. By skillfully navigating through the demonic gems that control his sleeping hours, he can break free from his chains and climb the corporate ladder to escape damnation. The game encourages players to rescue coworkers, outsmart bosses, and make their way up the "cultporate" ladder, ultimately deciding their own fate.
