WASTED is a unique roguelike post-apocalyptic pub crawler that immerses players in a chaotic wasteland where survival hinges on the motto "Get wasted, or get wasted trying." Set in a world ravaged by a thermonuclear blitzkrieg, the game presents a society of Wasters—tough, ruthless, and often not the brightest. Players take on the role of a Waster, battling for the precious resource of Booze, which fuels this uncivilized world.

The game features a character customization system called S.H.O.T.S., where players drink irradiated Booze to gain powerful Hangovers and mutations, enhancing their abilities. The 80s-inspired aesthetic is reflected in the clothing and a wide array of weapons available to players, from baseball bats to disintegrators.

Exploration is key in WASTED, with procedurally generated Coolers offering loot and challenges. Players must navigate these dangerous environments filled with raiders, mutants, and traps, using stealth, force, or cunning to survive. Death is permanent, adding a layer of tension to every decision.
