Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler that follows a group of misfits on a quest for redemption. Their goal is to reach the legendary Gungeon's ultimate treasure: a gun that can kill the past. Players can choose a hero or team up in co-op mode to battle through the Gungeon's challenging and ever-evolving floors. These floors are filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and formidable Gungeon bosses, all heavily armed. As you progress, you'll gather valuable loot, uncover hidden secrets, and interact with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items that give you an edge.

The Gungeon itself is a dynamic bullet hell fortress that combines meticulously hand-designed rooms with a procedurally-generated labyrinth. It adapts to players' victories by increasing the stakes and challenges within its walls. The Cult of the Gundead, a group of gun-wielding disciples, will stop at nothing to thwart the heroes, employing any tactics necessary to defend their temple.

Players can choose from several unlikely heroes, each burdened by deep regret and seeking a way to change their past. These adventurers are driven by courage and desperation, willing to dive through flaming walls, roll through bullet storms, or take cover behind anything available to reach their goal alive.

The game features a wide array of uniquely fantastic guns, each with its own tactics and ammunition. Players can unleash everything from traditional missiles, lasers, and cannonballs to bizarrely effective volleys of rainbows, fish, foam darts, and even bees.
