ICED is a survival game where the main objective is to endure until a rescue team arrives by helicopter. Players must carefully monitor their health indicators and scavenge for essential items such as food, water, medications, and burner gas left behind by other fishermen. These resources are crucial for surviving several more hours in the harsh environment.

The game features dream sequences that present challenges reflecting the player's mental state and spirit. As these deteriorate, survival becomes increasingly difficult, and the challenges grow more complex.

Set in abnormal weather conditions, the temperature can drop suddenly, endangering the protagonist's life. If the player is far from their tent, returning in poor visibility and extreme cold can be life-threatening.

Additional risks include slipping while running or jumping, which can lead to injuries that hinder the protagonist's ability to gather resources, ultimately leading to their demise.
